Nadia Shalini pro makeup artist happened almost by chance. Twenty-two years ago, she came to Las Vegas with her mom, who was considering retiring there. Fresh out of grad school and unsure of her next steps, Nadia was in the middle of applying to law schools. She planned to stay for just a few weeks, but Vegas had other plans.

She decided to explore esthetics while she figured things out, expecting it to be a short-lived break. But what started as a temporary stay stretched into months, and then years, as she found herself drawn to the creativity and opportunities in the beauty world.
